Summary:  The Maintenance Lead directs and coordinates activities of vendors and Maintenance Mechanics engaged in repair, maintenance, installation of machines, tools, and equipment. In addition, the Maintenance Lead also assists with the maintenance of the buildings, grounds and utility systems of the plant. The Maintenance Lead will report up to the Shift Maintenance Supervisor and assist in the strategic needs of the department.

Key Responsibilities:

Manages maintenance work requests from production floor by determining priority and assigning work orders to technicians.Verifies completion of assigned work orders by techniciansEnforces departmental use of Lock Out Tag Out as defined by the company policy.Ensures team members comply with all safety and good manufacturing practices.Communicates to Production and Quality Assurance departments equipment breakdowns and estimated times for repair completion.Works with management, vendors, engineering, and quality control personnel to resolve maintenance issues and recommend measures to improve operations and conditions of machines and equipment.Audits work of team members to ensure that standards are being met.Conducts daily meetings at the end of each shift to update incoming maintenance personnel on status of breakdowns, repairs and troubleshooting completed during previous shift.Maintains shop cleanliness, including the office and outside staging area.Communicates daily shift pass down report via designated email distribution.Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.Examines form and texture of parts regularly to remove defective parts.Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment, and machinery.Tests and adjusts equipment to meet performance specifications.Sets up and operates lathe, drill press, grinder, saws, and other metalworking tools to make and repair parts.Communicates to Supervisor parts needs.Repairs electrical equipment.Represents the Maintenance department as needed for cross functional meetings.Ensures shift is meeting department KPIs and CMMS compliance.Follows up on Downtime items and aids in root cause analysis.

Additional Responsibilities: 

Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.All other duties as assigned.Verify PMs are Completed accurately.

This is a nonexempt position with an hourly rate of $27.57 to $38.57.
