While reporting directly to the Dept Manager, the following job description outlines the essential functions of each level of role within the Maintenance department. The following lists are not exhaustive, and the employee in each of these roles is expected to assume any and all duties assigned by management irrespective of whether such duties are specifically included in the following.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Demonstrated a willingness and ability to work in safe manner complying with all established safety guidelines and procedures. Includes but is not limited to Energy Isolation, Hand Safety, Hot Work Permits, Fall Protection, Confined Spaces, Personal Protective Equipment, Electrical Safety Work Practices, Powered Industrial Trucks, Hazard Communication, Machine Guarding and other safety policy/procedures.Performs installation, modification, calibration and repair of electronic and electrical instrumentation, equipment, and control systems.Inspects, repairs, and performs electric and mechanical overhauls on all equipment such as VFDs, open and closed feedback servo loops, servo motors, pneumatic and hydraulic components, motor control center devices, conveyor systems, and packaging and processing equipment.Troubleshoots and repairs motor control centers, electro-mechanical drives and sub-electrical panels using volt-ohm-amp meters, oscilloscope, and mergers.Performs machine shop duties such as grinding, drilling, light metal fabrication, welding, and machining.Must be available for emergency call-in workAssist in moving plant equipmentPerform work with minimal supervisionInterprets and ensures compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and calculates line leads to determine HP, watt, current, voltages, wire, conduit, fuse and equipment sizes and capacities.Install, maintain, and/or repair low voltage such as the paging system, fire alarms, warning hornsMaintain and test sprinkler systems both wet and dry systemsCoordinate and direct the activities of outside contractors when in the facilityComplete tasks with very little or no supervision neededAssist in developing capital project requests and implementationOversees work of assigned maintenance team employees.Entering work orders, updating status, and maintaining the Work Order Management System (Cworks).We’d love to hear from you if:
