Shift: Day Shift - 6:00 AM- 3:00 PM

Purpose of Role:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Lead is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the maintenance activities within our facility. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, troubleshooting, and repair, ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Maintenance Team: Lead and manage a small team of maintenance laborers , providing guidance, training, and support.

Routine Preventive Maintenance: Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend equipment life. Coordinate contractors for equipment repairs and effectively manages spending and budget 

Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose mechanical issues and perform repairs on a variety of industrial machinery.

Millwright Duties: Utilize millwright skills to install, dismantle, and move machinery and heavy equipment according to layout plans, blueprints, and other drawings.

Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of tools, parts, and supplies, and order replacements as needed.

Job Knowledge/Education and Qualifications:

Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.

Heavy industrial fabrication experience and/or related industries considered an asset.

Ability to work well under pressure in a constantly changing environment

Ability to coordinate a high level of activity under a variety of conditions and constraints

Ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that require physical exertion

Strong mechanical aptitude, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.

Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
