Pay Rate: $32.00
Shift(s) Required: Monday thru Friday, 7am – 3pm. Must be available for on call work and overtime including weekends, holidays, and on occasion different shifts.

Position Summary
Manage the manufacturing and facility assets at the site ensuring performance reliability in a 24/7 manufacturing environment, to meet customer demands in a safe working environment. This position reports to the site Operations Manager and will direct the activities of the maintenance colleagues and maintenance administrative staff.
Job ResponsibilitiesEnsure maintenance team is properly trained to perform daily tasks as per safety and food safety procedures.Facilitate a daily shift hand off between maintenance techs to ensure proper communication between the outgoing and the oncoming shift.Set expectations and hold team members accountable for daily tasks making sure that the plant is operating at peak efficiency.Document and review team performance gaps with Operations Manager and together, address with corrective actions with coaching, counseling, and corrective actions. Provide feedback to Operations Manager on Colleague performance for annual reviews.Develop, and facilitate the execution of a robust CMMS system including parts procurement and inventory management, critical spares list and inventory, PM program to eliminate unscheduled downtime, daily tracking of maintenance tech tasks completion, and parts and service ordering and tracking .Ensure CSD list is up to date and scheduled testing and monitoring is completedEnsure DHA list is up to date and risk mitigation is met to ensure each items achieves a 5 credit scoreEnsure master sanitation schedule stays on track.Complete contractor safety orientations, and required permitting for on-site work.Facilitate periodic calibration testing of equipment for regulatory, safety and food safety requirements (Metal Detectors, Scales, Back Flow preventors, magnets, IR analysis, vibration analysis, etc.).Develop and maintain an approved contractor list.Facilitate Continuous Improvement initiatives to close gaps and implement corrective actions.Manage spending to annual budgetManage small capital projects and support large capital projects
Position RequirementsMinimum of a high school diploma or GED required. Skilled trades certificates or other maintenance training is beneficial.5+ years’ work experience in a manufacturing environment working within a maintenance teamAbility to work with and collaborate with other departments including Operations and Quality in problem solving, root cause analysis, and efficiency improvements.Ability to troubleshoot complex problems and determine corrective actions in a timely manner.Strong communication skills displaying an ability to present expectations and hold team members accountable to company and facility goals.Be visionary to develop and manage a department that incorporates a robust CMMS system and incorporates a preventative maintenance strategy to all tasks.
Physical Requirements and Working ConditionsAbility to move about on a work site by ascending/descending stairs, extensive walking, climbing steps or ladders, prolonged periods of standing and sitting, stooping, bending, kneeling, or squatting frequently Ability to operate equipment or machinery that may be located at different heights with open view grating from multiple elevations or in confined spaces Ability to lift up to 50 pounds overhead Ability to traverse two (2) miles or more during the course of a workday Ambient conditions – Work area is, typically, a non-air-conditioned production environment. Working in in extreme heat and cold in all seasonal elements, both indoors and outside on a regular basis.Atmosphere: May come in contact with Dust (Peanut - known allergen), corn, cotton, canola seed, chemicals and odor Must be able to work around vibrating equipment and noise levels that may reach or exceed 85 decibels and will require use of hearing protection for most of the work shift Employees are required to wear all company provided Personal Protective Equipment (i.e., hard-hats, safety glasses, earplugs, uniforms, and steel-toed boots) in addition to job specific PPE requirements (i.e., fall protection equipment and respirators)
