**What you will do:**
+ Lead and direct maintenance crew of 3 mechanics, making sure of all safety, quality, and environmental policies are followed.
+ Must have knowledge of production manufacturing, an understanding of computers and programs such as Outlook, word and excel, familiar with OSHA and EPA regulations, electrical troubleshooting, and maintenance work.
+ This position will work directly with production, quality, and safety management to achieve the goals of the facility.
+ Collaboration is key when coming up with solutions to issues that arise.
+ Must be able to both give and receive feedback, coach others, train others, present in front of a team or group, and show strong time-management skills.
+ Comfort working at heights is a MUST. We have tall buildings with exterior equipment that needs PMs and repairs regularly. There are tasks that require working from boom lifts and scissor lifts for extended periods of time.
+ The ideal candidate will have experience leading a team, delegating tasks, working with contractors, be safety minded, be comfortable communicating over the phone and email with both internal and external personnel.
+ Production / Manufacturing Maintenance experience of 3+ years is strongly preferred.
+ Experience with mixers, milling equipment, bucket elevators, drag conveyors, etc. preferred.
**What Hours Would I be Working?**
+ 6a-3p Monday thru Friday
+ Saturday work will be required on occasion.
**Key talking points for this position:**
+ It is truly a working lead job – the lead is one of our maintenance team and works on maintenance calls, PMs, etc.
+ The plant is not climate controlled. There’s lots of old areas and old equipment. It’s not glamorous.
+ This person needs production / manufacturing maintenance experience. Not looking for car mechanic shop lead. We want someone who has worked in a factory.
+ Ideally, they should know at least the basics of: mechanical work, electrical up to 440V, programing / PLC experience a big plus even though we don’t do it here, they help troubleshoot over the phone with our programmers off-site.
+ They will be doing a lot of coordinating and working with contractors (electricians, plumbers, installation and repair technicians) including scheduling visits, showing them around, ensuring permits and safety checks have been done before work is started, etc.
+ We have a lot of capital projects coming up in the next 1-3 years which will involve construction and installation of new equipment
+ 1 of the 3 other mechanics that report to them is off-shift. The lead and 2 others work on days then we have 1 guy who works 4-10hr shifts overnight. So they will need to be able to direct and advise that mechanic with work tasks / assignments, as well as coaching them.

Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours.
