Maintenance Leader

The principal areas of responsibility are to provide technical guidance to the functions of equipment reliability, maintenance planning and scheduling, facility maintenance, training, budget management, and root cause failure analysis. The Maintenance Leader will provide direction, coordination, and support for the daily execution of a 3-shift maintenance department’s operating plan with the primary objective of maintaining the plant’s equipment and facilities.

Responsibilities:

Promote safety throughout the entire organization and ensure that safe work is practiced by maintenance personnel.Develop and maintain a strong reliability maintenance program. Develop, analyze, and improve Preventative Maintenance (PM) program.Manage the spare parts inventory to maintain critical spares and minimize unnecessary inventory.Analyze equipment uptime and history, look for trends, and apply problem solving techniques to increase equipment availability, while also balancing costs.Support the MOS (Masco Operating System) Plant Initiatives - Lean Programs that have been identified (5S, Kaizen, etc.). Use key performance indicators to continually improve planning, scheduling, and work execution effectiveness.Provide technical support and leadership for repairs and maintenance of equipment, building, and grounds.Manage daily maintenance operations including visual management boards, escalation of issues affecting production, and collaborating with production team.Directly manage hourly associates across 3 shifts in the maintenance department. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; managing timekeeping, attendance, vacations, and coverage schedules.Develop and adhere to operating budgets.Manage contracts for outside services such as equipment and building repairs and service.

Education & Experience:

Minimum of 7 years’ experience in a manufacturing facility and 3 years performing a maintenance leadership role.Experience with Reliability/Preventative/Predictive maintenance programs.Associates degree or higher in a technical field is strongly preferred.Knowledge on various problem-solving techniques, maintenance planning and scheduling, and be able to read blueprintsRequires a high degree of technical knowledge and the ability to conceptualize and anticipate problems, many times with little or no precedent.Able work independently with little or no guidance while leading a multi-craft maintenance team across 3 shifts.Good social skills and the ability to communicate effectively with individuals and teams at all levels of the organization is vital.Able to manage multiple priorities and projects.

Preferred but not Required:

SAP experience for managing PMs, purchasing, inventory management, and budget management.Experience in injection molding.Experience with Controls/PLC and/or automation

Hiring Range: $72,300.00 - $113,630.00
