Overview The Orlando Maintenance Department Manager’s role is to manage all Orlando Site Maintenance Department activities. This includes leading 2 to 5 direct reports who supervise the Orlando Maintenance team, of over 50 skilled Technicians, Controls Professionals and multicraft multiskilled Mechanics. The Orlando Maintenance Department Manager is accountable for removing obstacles, solving problems, setting direction, and empowering the Orlando Maintenance Unit as well as other team members to achieve their performance improvement results. The Maintenance DM is responsible for a 4-million-dollar R&M budget annually and is required to organize and plan spend to meet period forecasts. The effective utilization of capital is required to build productivity plans, improve asset performance, and drive growth. The individual leading this team must be highly organized, collaborative across multiple departments internal and external, and effective at managing rapid change. Strong technical aptitude will benefit the person in this role however, strong critical thinking skills and willingness to dive deep into the technical business will ensure success. Above all, this person will be responsible for developing leaders and maximizing the potential of each individual reporting to them. Also, the Orlando Maintenance Department Manager must be fully aligned as a technical and professional resource to help achieve manufacturing goals in the areas of safety, cost, quality, and service to customers. Other responsibilities may include: Responsibilities Leading team of 2 to 5 frontline managers and approximately 50 hourly technicians in a manufacturing environment Accountable for all performance measures within the department (across multiple shifts) Providing leadership for the team in developing goals and achieving continuous improvement targets Creating specifications and validation plans for full-scale sourcing, factory acceptance tests, and production line or equipment acceptance Applying engineering principles, modeling, and simulation Participating in and/or leading cross-functional teams of colleagues and outside resources to develop and execute projects Being accountable for budget management, schedule attainment, and achievement of line performance metrics Ensure that supervisors and teams within the business unit are developed and held accountable for achieving individual, team and business unit goals Solve day-to-day operational issues and reach short- and long-term performance goals Deliver effective change leadership while driving business changes and minimizing people impact Builds people capability through effective employee relations, hiring, training, and communication for front-line hourly and salaried personnel Communicate and collaborate cross-functionally to assist team to solve operational issues Work closely with suppliers and internal customers to deliver expected results Conduct presentations and formal training programs This role requires regular presence on the plant floor and may require occasional work in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, or snow. Strong leadership skills with the ability to get results through mentoring others Compensation & Benefits: The expected compensation range for this position is between $106,400 - $178,100. Location, confirmed job-related skills, experience, and education will be considered in setting actual starting salary. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range during the hiring process. Bonus based on performance and eligibility target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually. Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement.
