MAINTENANCE MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST
Summary This is a Maintenance Management Specialist GS-1601-11/12 position with USACE Little Rock District, Operations Division. This position can be filled in Little Rock, AR OR Russellville, AR. This position can be filled at the GS-11 (with promotion potential to the GS-12) or at the full performance GS-12. Promotion to the next grade is at the discretion of management. Responsibilities You will serve as primary point-of-contact for Facility Equipment Maintenance (FEM) Program related matters. You are responsible for ensuring standardization and consistency of FEM processes and business practices across the Operating Projects. You will provide support to Operating Project FEM Technicians and other FEM users. You will perform analysis of Operating Project maintenance data and key performance indicators to evaluate quality issues, and trends. You will serve as Operations Condition Assessment (OCA) Coordinator responsible to coordinate and direct assessment evaluation across district. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. For GS-11: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) gathering operations data using an automated facility equipment maintenance program; AND 2) assisting others to resolve user errors or report technical issues related to an automated facility equipment maintenance program. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages. For GS-12: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) analyzing operations data using an automated facility equipment maintenance program to evaluate performance and identify areas needing improvement; AND 2) communicating results of maintenance program data evaluations with appropriate management officials/staff members to improve maintenance management procedures and business practices. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service, GS-11.
