About the Position: The Anniston Army Depot is located in Anniston, Alabama in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain chain halfway between Atlanta, GA and Birmingham, AL just off Interstate 20. The Depot is the largest employer in Calhoun County with approximately 4000 employees. Responsibilities Assists higher grade employees in performing duties of the most complex nature. Incumbent independently performs duties associated with accomplishing a variety of assignments, primarily related to: Material Master Record creation and update; and the creation, changing, and maintaining of Bills of Material (BOM) and Routes Incumbent has primary responsibility for the maintenance/upkeep of the Material Master Record. Perform pre-editing of incoming documents utilizing knowledge of programs, controls, deviations, capabilities and limitations. Creates, changes, and maintains Bills of Material (BOM) and Routes according to LMP procedures. Troubleshoots BOMs and routes to ensure production versions are up to date. Review, analyzes, identifies, classifies, and initiates actions to accurately describe a large variety of supply items. Participates in special and/or periodic studies on automated procedures requiring the analysis of different processes, functions, and procedures. Communicate/coordinates with material managers, production planners, requisitioners, and others during the planning, scheduling, and execution phases of projects. OR Education: Master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.B. or J.D.
