What you’ll do;
• As Maintenance Manager you report to the Plant Manager and;
• Plan and coordinate maintenance engineer activities, e.g., Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control as well as Material / Warehouse Controller where applicable.
• Develop and implement a maintenance, digital strategy consistent with achieving maximum plant efficiency to meet customer requirements in the most safe, reliable, economical, and environmentally safe manner.
• Maintain a high safety conscious working environment and ensure compliance with all company and legislative Environmental, Health & Safety requirements.
• Maintain close contact with necessary work-related partners such us customer, inspection and certification agencies, Goods, and services suppliers, etc..
• Support the Plant Manager to meet the contractual, technical, and commercial targets.
• Ensure proper and effective maintenance of the plant, considering the O&M Contract, commercial aspects and in accordance with safety, environmental and legal regulations.
• Ensure that identification of maintenance requirements has been considered to achieve the required plant availability, reliability, and performance at the lowest cost.
• Manage the maintenance of the Power Station so that all requirements are identified, documented, planned, scheduled, and carried out correctly.
• Ensure that a history of details of work carried out is available in the CMMS Computerized Maintenance Management System - Maximo.
• Adapt O&M QMS documents to reflect the maintenance requirements, consider and actively develop improvement potentials for all maintenance processes.
• Recruit, train, develop and guide staff, and periodically assess their ability and potential.
• Manage the maintenance costs, prepare, agree, and then control the Maintenance Department budget.
• Maintain a system of control for relevant stock.
• Coordinate with GE O&M Centre of Excellence (CoE) team, GE Engineering, and other O&M support team for the resolution of complex issues relevant to the Power Station.
• Coordinate with other GE Power services elements (Turbine Service, Engineering teams, sales, O&M) to ensure optimum results during daily operation / outages for the Power Station.
What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications);
• Electrical or Mechanical Engineering MSc / BSc degree or equivalent work experience.
• Substantial knowledge of engineering practices, functions and processes involved in maintenance of relevant Power Stations
• An in-depth understanding of maintenance, leader concepts and best practices
• Knowledge of risk leader techniques
• Significant years of combined cycle power plant O&M experience.
• Proven years in a leader position in plant maintenance
• Good leadership skills proven in a multicultural environment
• Strong oral and written communication skills in English
