Maintenance Area Manager is a leadership role focused on building fully engaged and competent teams that deliver results in line with the area performance goals in a safe and efficient way.  The Maintenance Area Manager is the owner of the Reliability and Maintenance organization for the Towanda Site and provides functional direction to Site Maintenance First Line Managers, Reliability Engineers, Continuous Improvement Consultants, Value-Added Process Engineers, and their teams.  This role is responsible for developing and leading the facility maintenance strategy and implementing Maintenance Work Management Processes with a focus on Continuous Improvement.

Capabilities Required for this Role (Knowledge Skills & Abilities):

Knowledge of appropriate standards, protocols, and systems.Microsoft Office knowledge and skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)Functional understanding of Maintenance Scheduling software, currently SAP.Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills with the ability to influence managers, peers and the maintenance team.Effective risk management and mitigation skills.Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communications, planning and organizing.Excellent organization and time management skills to include prioritization, scheduling, and optimizing work force skills and resources.Root cause analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Safety, Quality & Environmental Auditing skills.Leadership skills – coaching & mentoring.Understanding of Maintenance Work Management Processes.

Qualifications:

B.S. in Engineering or equivalent degree is required7-10 years of Maintenance and/or Reliability experienced is requiredProcess Safety Management (High Hazard Process) experience, preferredLine of Business experience, preferredSix Sigma/Lean Practitioner, preferred
