Position Summary Our Maintenance Manager is responsible for building, developing, and leading a 24/7 world-class maintenance operations structure at our Asheboro facility, modeling Lean Manufacturing methodologies for daily activities including Predictive and Preventative Maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical, and robotic equipment, ancillary projects as they relate to machine uptime initiatives, and leading the implementation of a new CMMS tool improving Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE), Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and operational readiness within the facility. Responsibilities Lead the facility Maintenance Team by providing daily direction in support of predictive, preventive maintenance and breakdown repair activities Work with the Maintenance Team as needed in the troubleshooting and repair of plant equipment and processes Increase the site operational effectiveness to reduce downtime and improve Overall Equipment Efficiency (OEE) Define capital projects, request funding, lead and execute projects Define and implement process improvements Design, develop, test, and/or source and cost-justify various tools, machinery and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods Confer with vendors to determine product specifications and arrange for purchase of machinery and equipment according to specifications Ensure process documentation including engineering drawings, specifications and training documentation are updated Develop a robust Spare Parts acquisition and management program Support, comply and ensure compliance with all Health and Safety regulations, the Company Handbook, Quality and Environmental standards What we are looking for Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Operational Management, or extensive plant level experience in a skilled trade High speed automation experience (i.e. bottling, paper, CPG) Minimum 7+ years’ direct leadership experience in a manufacturing environment (prefer Electromechanical Trades and Maintenance Planning functions) Knowledge utilizing CMMS software including Work Order tracking Proficient using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word Visual Management and 5S Standards What we prefer CMRP or similar certification Visual Management and 5S Standards SAP experience Packaging experience MRO experience Direct experience in leading the creation and implementation of best practice maintenance including vision, strategy, policies, processes and procedures in aiding and improving operational performance Consumer Goods products manufacturing including packaging in an automated, high-speed environment Come join us!
