The mission of the of the Maintenance Manager is to manages the Maintenance Department, including the supervision of staff, assuring the quality of work, providing needed supplies and components, scheduling work, and the accurate documentation of work scheduled and completed.
Main Missions:
Develop and implement preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs for all equipment, including crimping machines, wire harness machinery, and seat heating systems. Plan and schedule regular maintenance activities, ensuring minimal disruption to production schedules. Establish and maintain an inventory of critical spare parts and tools required for timely repairs Regularly inspect and monitor the performance of production machinery, ensuring that all systems operate at optimal levels. Troubleshoot equipment failures and malfunctions promptly, utilizing root cause analysis to implement long-term solutions. Collaborate with production teams to address any mechanical, electrical, or automation issues that impact production quality or efficiency Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance technicians, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Provide technical training and support to team members, ensuring they are equipped to handle complex equipment issues. Conduct performance reviews and implement strategies for team development and succession planning. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations in all maintenance activities. Develop and enforce safety protocols for working with high-voltage and mechanical equipment, particularly in areas related to seat heating and wire harness systems. Coordinate with regulatory bodies to ensure that the facility meets or exceeds industry standards Identify opportunities for improving equipment reliability, reducing downtime, and increasing production efficiency through innovation and process improvements. Lead initiatives to upgrade and modernize equipment, staying abreast of advancements in manufacturing technologies and processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support new product introductions and plant expansion projects. Manage relationships with equipment suppliers and service providers, ensuring timely support and the procurement of high-quality parts. Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, tracking expenditures, and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety.
To be successful for this role :
Engineering degree or equivalent Minimum of 5 years experience, mainly in the Maintenance Previous Experience in automotive Industry in a similar position Good knowledge in installation safety requirements & control Leadership Experience is mandatory Good knowledge of in Office tools and GMAO Good analytical vision.
Language Skills:
Good communication skills in both French and English
