Maintenance Manager

Summary

The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for providing direction, coordination and support for the daily execution of the maintenance department’s operating plan with the primary objective of maintaining the Plant’s equipment and facilities. Maintenance manager is expected to ensure that all safe work practices are implemented and followed by the department and instill GAF’s safety culture into the daily work environment of the maintenance department by ensuring policies and procedures are followed using behavior based safety. The principal areas of responsibility are to provide technical and managerial leadership to the functions of equipment reliability, maintenance planning and scheduling, facility maintenance, training, computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS), and support root cause failure analysis led by Reliability Engineer.

Essential Duties

Manage daily maintenance operations through the Maintenance Supervisor and Sr. Maintenance Specialist.

Establish work practices that optimize machine availability while also balancing costs.

Manages the maintenance outage planning and execution process with considerations to labor and budget.

Coordinates appropriate training materials and sessions to develop the skill level of both hourly and salaried maintenance personnel.

Participates in the design, construction, and maintenance of equipment and machinery.

Performs NFPA 70E tasks as required.

Manages preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

Evaluate and design new equipment systems, and recommend modifications for continuous improvement in an effort to minimize cost, optimize maintenance and production capabilities, and enhance safety.

Ensures compliance with all industry and company standard safety practices.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Ability to Lift, Push, and/or Pull up to 50 pounds

Under This Roof, We Require

At least 5 years work experience in Industrial Maintenance Supervision/Management

Willingness to respond to after hour emergencies including weekends and holidays

Under This Roof, We Also Value

Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required

Intermediate to advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical industrial systems and controls

Intermediate maintenance planning, scheduling, work execution, & feedback systems, experience.

Intermediate experience with maintenance MRO storeroom management

Project Management experience

Ability to utilize maintenance KPI’s for daily and monthly performance

Dialogue and Audit:

PM Compliance (Monthly)

Schedule Compliance (Weekly)

Maintenance Labor Schedule Loading

Maintenance Labor Hours Transacted on Work Orders

Intermediate Knowledge of vibration analysis, laser alignment, ultrasound, and precision maintenance tasks.

Ability to mentor and develop both salary and hourly department team members

Prior Maximo experience is preferred, but not required. Consideration will be given to experience with other CMMS systems.

Experience coordinating routine job plan reviews and updates, with either internal planners or external contracted/project support

Annual Salary Range: 117,000-149,500
