Scope of Responsibility:
In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance team and ensuring that all machinery and equipment are functioning at optimal levels. With a focus on both preventive and predictive maintenance, your work will be integral to our production targets and overall plant operations. You will work closely with other departments to coordinate schedules and address maintenance needs, all while promoting a culture of safety and compliance.
Essential Duties:
Lead and manage the maintenance teams for all three Sabre Galvanizing locations, including scheduling, training, and performance management.Oversee the galvanizing process equipment, ensuring all machinery is maintained to meet production goals and safety standards.Develop, implement, and monitor preventive and predictive maintenance schedules.Troubleshoot and resolve issues with electrical and mechanical systems promptly to minimize downtime.Manage maintenance budgets, optimize resource allocation, and track expenditures to maintain cost-effectiveness.Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA guidelines.Coordinate with other departments to plan and schedule maintenance without interrupting production.Maintain accurate records through the CMMS to track equipment history, repairs, and preventive maintenance tasks. Work closely with Operational leadership on the quoting, planning, and implementation process for a wide variety of projects.Additional duties as assigned
Position Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree Preferred
Experience:
Significant experience in industrial maintenance management within a manufacturing setting. Deep knowledge safety and equipment standards. Proficiency in preventive and predictive maintenance approaches and techniques. Proficient in Lean methodologies and tools
Skills & Abilities:
Expertise in diagnosing and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems.Skilled in budget management, resource allocation, and maintenance scheduling.Thorough understanding of OSHA and other safety regulations.Strong leadership skills with experience in team management, task prioritization, and cross-department coordination.Excellent communication abilities to facilitate clear reporting and team instruction.Proficiency with CMMS or similar maintenance management systems.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand, walk, and move around the facility for extended periods. Capability to lift and carry materials weighing up to 50 pounds as necessary. Proficiency in using and handling maintenance tools and equipment. Comfortable with occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, particularly during equipment inspections or repairs. Adept at working in varying environmental conditions, including hot, humid, and noisy environments typical of manufacturing.
