As the Maintenance Manager, you will develop and maintain an organization within the Sylmar site that supports both Business and Operational strategies. You will establish a safe and productive functional culture that is inclusive of a diverse workforce including P&M team members, maintenance supervisors, planners and engineers. You will also assist with technical, and facilities capital projects as directed by the CAPEX plan. This is an onsite position at our Sylmar, CA. facility. You will report to the Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
Key Responsibilities
Be actively engaged in Safety; lead by example and ensure compliance with both company and regulatory safety standards and requirements for facilities and equipment.
Works closely with site EH&S Team to identify and resolve safety and regulatory issues.
Delegates work assignments and tasks: monitors performance while providing feedback and recognition of results.
Anticipate technological changes in the industry and review opportunities to enhance equipment and systems.
Ensure MOCs, RCCA for EHS CARs and Quality CARs are completed as expected.
Build and sustain as needed, a robust site PM and TPM system with clear KPI’s and accurate site reporting on status.
Ensure low unscheduled disturbances in production due to equipment and Facilities issues and failures. Also ensure scheduled down time necessary to complete planned preventive maintenance when due.
Assist in developing a moving 5-year Maintenance, Facilities and Equipment plan.
Develop and manage engineer, planning and supervisor training and growth plans, while supporting the supervisors training and growth plans for the technicians.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline, engineering or equivalent experience preferred but will consider experience in lieu of degree
US Citizen
5 - 10+ years of management/supervisory experience in a maintenance and or facilities role
Prior experience in manufacturing environments and industries (e.g. automotive, aerospace, chemical, medical devices, pharmaceutical)
Technical knowledge on the following systems and equipment: Facilities infrastructure (HVAC, Electric Power distribution, compressed air, water, sewer and other plant utilities), Ovens and Autoclaves, Grind & Polish machines, stretching machines, other processing equipment (conveyors, machining, mixers, sanders, saws, etc.), and clean room environments
Knowledge of PLC controls and Robots applications and maintenance. Knowledge of SCADA and MES systems.
Knowledge of construction procedures, building and safety compliance
Lean Manufacturing knowledge is desired
Salary Range $130,000-$155,000 plus annual bonus
