The Maintenance Manager will be responsible for driving a holistic approach to equipment maintenance and design that targets perfect production—No slowdowns, no defects, no downtime.  Additionally, this person is responsible for the safety, scheduling, and supervising a large crew of maintenance and technical professionals.

Responsibilities

Develop a 3 year plan to deploying a worldclass TPM program and organization and create the playbook for replication at other Masonite sitesComplete the setup of the Microsoft AX CMMS as the standard for North American Residential businessExecute a process to bring key equipment assets back to original manufacturer’s specification to increase reliability of operationWork with site engineering to design new equipment features to improve Safety and OEEDevelop the plan and coordinate resources for the installation of new automated assembly equipmentWork closely with corporate engineering to plan the replication of new automated systems from this site into legacy Masonite sitesDevelop a failure analysis process/system for key component failures, using internal and external resources for analysis and corrective actionMaintain the correct level of staffing for the Facilities organization(s)Create and establish Maintenance routines with measurable results on a daily basisWork with HR to establish a training process for the team to enhance their skills and develop the internal talentSet the example for the team through walking the walk and demonstrating the key values outlined in the Masonite BlueprintPerform any other duties as assigned by the plant managerTravel as needed to support the setup of new automated cells in other Masonite sitesImplement spare parts strategy and leverage across networkEvaluate and improve WO aging to target and establish prioritization routinesSupport visual mgmt. of equipment resources to minimize downtime

Education

Engineering Degree preferred.  Will consider equivalent experience in a Lean Enterprise

Experience

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a facilities or maintenance management role in a wood products manufacturing site and/or highly automated heavy manufacturing site.

Competencies

Deep understanding and capability to deploy TPMSelf driven, accountable, high integrity, open communicator, strong work ethicComputer skills in programs such as MS Word, MS Excel and Outlook are required, fast and accurate data entry skillsStrong detail and analytical skillsExperience with ERP and CMMSAutomated manufacturing equipment, robotics, and controls maintenance and programingAble to develop engineered solutions to machine/equipment problemsUnderstanding of PLC is requiredCapability to quickly understand electrical and mechanical systemsProven Leadership Capability in a Lean Enterprise.Strong time management skills.Must be able to handle various issues simultaneously and prioritize.
