**Job Title: Maintenance Manager**
**Job Description**
Manage and provide leadership, direction, and support to the maintenance department to ensure the effective delivery of maintenance services in accordance with the company's policies, OSHA regulations, and applicable laws. Ensure that safety, quality, yields, throughput, and efficiencies are met. Resolve issues in a timely manner. Direct personnel activities, such as recruitment, hiring, performance evaluations, and employee development within the framework of established human resources policies and practices.
**Responsibilities**
+ Develop and manage a maintenance department qualified to maintain all equipment and facilities in a safe and efficient working condition.
+ Maintain all operating equipment in satisfactory condition and ensure that equipment operates within the specifications and tolerances established by the equipment vendor/manufacturer.
+ Develop objectives and standards of performance for activities and projects within the maintenance department to meet departmental, divisional, and corporate goals and objectives.
+ Oversee the development and execution of an effective predictive/preventive maintenance program to minimize unscheduled downtime and increase the lifespan of assets.
+ Ensure systems to support task planning with time required, parts required, and job descriptions to maximize maintenance activities during normal plant operation, planned downtime, and periodic maintenance shuts.
+ Serve as an escalation point of contact for emergency maintenance requests.
+ Consult with engineering and management regarding desirable modifications of existing equipment and the possible replacement of existing equipment to improve operations and reduce maintenance costs.
+ Analyze cost studies of proposals for new equipment and make recommendations to management.
+ Plan and provide for an adequate supply and ensure control over spare parts and maintenance supplies.
+ Implement cost-reduction measures to control expenses that impact the operating budget for repair, utility, pretreatment, and maintenance.
+ Keep management aware of all matters that impact equipment and facility performance.
+ Remain current with the latest and emerging industry regulations and codes relative to mechanical and electrical systems design and operation.
+ Develop procedures and policies for the maintenance department.
+ Oversee department schedules to maximize both preventive and repair services while minimizing unnecessary overtime expenditures.
+ Manage assigned employees, including recruitment, supervision, scheduling, development, evaluation, and performance management.
+ Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all company regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Food & Beverage background.
+ Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of experience and education.
+ 5 to 8 years of maintenance, mechanical engineering, or related experience.
+ Demonstrated leadership attributes, team leadership, or supervisory experience.
+ Experience in manufacturing operations or production, preferably in the dairy industry.
+ Experience leading and following safety policies and procedures.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Dairy background is a plus.
+ Certification and/or license in areas such as electrical, welding, boiler, refrigeration, compressed air, wastewater, or plumbing is preferred.

**Work Environment**
You will be working in a cheese manufacturing facility where the environment can be wet, loud, and messy at times. Food safety is a key priority as you will be around dairy products at all times. The work schedule is Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with potential overtime and weekend work as needed.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Hummelstown, Pennsylvania.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $130000.00

$5,000 sign on bonus- candidates must work a full 2 years to not pay back.
