On-site: This role is categorized as onsite. This means the successful candidate is expected to report to Grand Rapids COMP on a full-time basis.
The Role:
As a Maintenance Leader in the Manufacturing Group, you will manage one or more areas of the plant. You will also be responsible for a large group of salaried maintenance group leaders and technical support personnel engaged in evaluating projects, planning and timing, operations, maintenance and repair of plant equipment. You will specify project requirements, planning and timing. You will hold responsibility over a department or group of departments where the work involves a considerable amount of creativity and perception and a high level of discernment in making decisions. Work is of a technical nature using independent judgment within the limits of GMS; focusing on Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost, and Environment (SPQRCE). Responsible for training others.
What You'll Do:
Leads Technical Team responsible for all aspects of maintenance and/or engineering, from writing machine specs, TIS, assists with sourcing, and working with suppliers & engineers for components manufacturer.Responsible for coaching and managing a team of technical leads, managing program/project execution, and manufacturing plant floor support of machine controls, robotics, and vision systems. Engage in all aspects of talent development (mentorship, career development, progression, and succession planning, training etc.)Responsible for all new and updated business cases for current and potential future customers. This includes fully supporting the GMCH business team.Coordinates and works with Business Team Leaders to maintain all project deliverablesInterface and coordinates activities to assess project timelines and to mitigate overall project risksSupport Risk Assessment and Risk Mitigation (PFMEA) activities as neededLeads and coordinates the creation and changes to technical or maintenance or engineering documents.Lead a workplace safety system (WSS) element or performance standard (PS).Lead GMS & BPD activities.Additional Job DescriptionYour Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications):
B.S. in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience5+ Years Working within a manufacturing environment Prior Salaried Supervisory experienceHas experience writing Appropriation Requests, NPP and MBC requests and has maintained project spending information for prior projects – on-time and on-budget history a plusDemonstrated willingness to escalate emerging issues and leads team to resolve quickly and competentlyProficient in developing, maintaining, and adhering to Project timelinesStrong ability to multi-task and leverage resources to attain challenging goalsLead assigned cost counsel activitiesWhat Can Give You a Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications):
