Ready to Make an impact? Responsible for the maintenance, general upkeep and record keeping of the physical building fixtures, property, mobile equipment and ammonia refrigeration system . Actively contribute to a positive, productive and safe working environment. Here’s where you’ll be focusing: + Ensure proper working condition of all refrigeration and HVAC systems , regular inspection, repair and replacement of warehouse racking, equipment and fire system maintenance and regulatory inspections. + Contribute to the effectiveness of the RSC’s health and safety program by promoting a safe work culture, provides employees with instruction, information, supervision and facilities to encourage ongoing safe work practices + Contribute to the effectiveness of the RSC’s food safety program and policies. + Co-ordinate daily activities of maintenance staff, shift engineers and janitorial staff + Prepare annual operating and capital expenditure budgets + Monitor and control expenses to budgets on a by period bases + Plan and schedule all equipment repairs/replacement in conjunction with purchasing as determined by approved capital budget + Ensure service agreements with third party providers are upheld and maintained Source out contractors and suppliers to meet the criteria required to operate safe, efficient and cost-effective programs + Coach, counsel and discipline as required + Willing to participate in ongoing training What you have to offer: + One year Certificate Program + Post Secondary Diploma + A minimum of five years experience in an industrial or warehouse environment + A Minimum of three years supervisory experience + Must be qualified to assume Chief Engineer (Fourth class) role (4th Class Power Engineer required) + Health and safety + Productivity and efficiency of staff + Time and attendance + Team work + Maintain Budget and Expenses + Interpersonal Skills + Interdepartmental Communication Skills + Job Knowledge + Decision Making/Problem Solving + Managing for Results + People Development + People Management + Team Leadership #RSCWEST We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package, which varies by role and designed to help our teammates to live better – physically, financially and emotionally.
