Maintenance Manager
Job Summary Manage and supervise repair and maintenance to ensure safe operations for Core & Main properties, which may include stores, offices, and/or warehouses. Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities Plan, schedule, and coordinate general maintenance, repairs, and remodeling or construction projects. Direct and coordinate the activities of staff and evaluate performance. Investigate complaints and safety violations, and resolve problems following management rules and regulations. Maintain records of special permits issued, and maintenance and operating costs Purchase maintenance supplies and equipment. Inspect facilities to document damage and determine repair needs. Prepare reports of property or facility. Performs other duties as assigned. Nature and Scope Solutions require analysis and investigation. Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles and practical experience. Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff. Work Environment Must continuously stand or walk or regularly requires lifting/handling/carrying material or equipment of moderate weight (8 - 20 pounds). Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable. Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time. Minimum Qualifications Must be a minimum of 18 years of age or older Must pass pre-employment assessment(s) if applicable Education and Experience Typically requires BS/BA in related discipline. Generally 7+ years experience in related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines. Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of laws, legal codes, and government regulations Knowledge of principles and procedures for personnel recruitment, selection, and training. Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in repair and maintenance. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer services.
