Job Summary: Responsible for overseeing the Maintenance Department Mechanical and Electrical areas, including rehabilitation and preventative maintenance for rides and equipment, completion of projects and goals, and managing within established budgetary guidelines.
Activities include:
Oversee and coordinate the broad array of activities under the Maintenance Department, including providing support for park operations, preventative maintenance activities, and repair and rehabilitation of rides and equipment.Schedule, prioritize, and oversee progress of projects and goals.Oversees supervisors and staff to ensure that work is scheduled appropriately to completion.Effectively communicate with all other park divisions and operating departments.Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures.Maintain State and Federal Standards, including CAL OSHA, EPA, DOSH, and other policies and procedures of Six Flags Magic Mountain & Hurricane Harbor.Responsible for ensuring all projects are completed in a safe and timely manner, as to not affect the Guest Experience.Keep all records and documentation updated daily, accessible, and organized.Interface with all departments on a regular basis.Other duties as requested or required.Skills and qualifications:
Minimum 5 years managing Maintenance projects and 5 years management experience in Park OperationsFlexible scheduling including nights, weekends and holidaysMust possess a valid driver’s license and a clear driving recordExcellent oral and written communication skills with computer proficiencyWorking knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, and OutlookKnowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and MaximoDemonstrate a working knowledge of CAL OSHA, EPA, DOSH, other regulatory agencies, and related rules and regulationsHave the mental and physical capabilities necessary to perform job duties. Must be able to access all areas of the Park and able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs. Must be capable of bending, squatting, kneeling, working in confined spaces, and heights in excess of 400 feet.Must possess a strong working knowledge of the operation of hand and power tools, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment and systems, gear drive motion control systems, heavy equipment, etc. Capable to train others on the safe and proficient usage of equipmentMust be able to work outdoors in all-weather conditions, and in muddy, dusty, wet, and dirty conditions
