• Job Summary:Responsible for leading the maintenance team and upkeep of telecom systems, ensuring seamless communication for safe and efficient metro rail operations.
• Key Responsibilities:Technical:1. Oversee maintenance of telecom infrastructure (e.g., fiber optics, copper cables, IT infra).2. Ensure reliable operation of communication systems (e.g., Telephone & Tetra).3. Ensure uptime for CCTV, ACID, MCS, PIDS, PAS along with IT infrastructure.4. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.5. Implement predictive maintenance strategies.Leadership:1. Lead a team of maintenance engineers / technicians along service and maintenance contractor.2. Develop and implement maintenance procedures and standards.3. Conduct performance reviews and training programs.4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and industry standards.5. Maintain relationships with client and usersProject Management:1. Plan and execute telecom-related projects (e.g., upgrades, expansions).2. Coordinate with vendors and stakeholders.3. Manage project budgets and timelines.Quality Assurance:1. Develop and implement quality control processes.2. Conduct audits and inspections.3. Identify areas for improvement.
Collaboration:1. Work closely with operations, engineering, and other departments.2. Coordinate with external agencies (e.g., telecom operators).
• Requirements:Education:1. Bachelor's degree in Electronics/Communication Engineering or related field.Experience:1. 8-10 years of experience in telecom maintenance, preferably in rail/metro environments.2. Proven leadership and management experience.Skills:1. Strong technical knowledge of telecom systems and signaling.2. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.3. Effective communication and leadership abilities.4. Familiarity with industry standards (e.g., IRSE, IEEE).5. Experience with maintenance management software.6. Ability to work in varying environmental conditions.7. Willingness to work irregular hours, including nights and weekends.8. Analytical skills and experience to do root cause analysis of any kind of fault in telecom system for metro rail. MTTR & MTBF calculation for fault restoration in line with CBTC contract document.
