As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for assisting in repairing and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electronic equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines and equipment while adhering to safety and quality standards. This is a 2nd shift opportunity from 1:30 PM to 10:00 pm.*

*2nd shift hours will be changing on 7/7/2025 to 3:00 pm to 11:30 pm.

*2nd shift roles receive a shift premium of $1.50/hour when working 2nd shift hours.

You Will:

Assist with resolving some mechanical issues                                                                  Ensure building security and building maintenance                                                                                    Perform basic scheduled preventative maintenance (PM)                                                        Have basic maintenance knowledge                                                                                                                   Gain knowledge of most Standard Operating Procedures for department equipment                         Have knowledge of power and department tools                                                     Properly use measuring instruments, gauges, meters                                                                                               Have knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulics                                                                                         Have knowledge of mechanical processes                                                                                                               Have basic A.C./ D.C. Knowledge                                                                                                         Be knowledgeable in Lock Out/Tag Out procedures                                                                       Manage scrap metal/wood disposal process              Maintain tools and tool storage area                                                                                                    Have knowledge of large compactor operation                                                                                           Gain knowledge of plant and departments layout                                                                                                  Complete Industrial Lift Truck Certifications                                                                                                   Read blueprints              Support Continuous ImprovementSupports new product development at maintenance level 

You Have:

High school diploma or GED or equivalent work experience2+ years of applied maintenance shop experience; or equivalent combination of education and training.Knowledge of machining fundamentals and basic operating skills, math skills, print reading and measuring procedures. Must know basic         precision measuring procedures, setups, and tooling applications.    

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is required to stand for extended periods of time. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.           

Work Environment:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
