Maintenance Mechanic
Schedule: Monday - Friday 2pm - 1030pm or 10:00pm - 6:30am Work Location: 6819 77th Avenue Kenosha, WI 53142 Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k) with match, STD/LTD/AD&D/Life, HSA, FSA, EAP, Hospital indemnity, Accident Insurance, Identity and Fraud Protection Plan, Legal, and Critical Illness.​ Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $36.54 per hour (plus an additional $1 per hour for shift differential) **Employee Type:** Full time **Location:** WI Kenosha **Job Type:** Production Group **Job Posting Title:** Maintenance Mechanic **Job Description:** The Maintenance Mechanic works in partnership with Maintenance leadership and Production leadership to perform basic maintenance and repairs on food manufacturing machinery equipment, including conveyors, packaging equipment, production equipment, electrical controls systems and other related plant systems, while adhering to safety rules and focusing on food safety. **Responsibilities and Expectations:** To perform jobs successfully, the incumbent will be required to perform the essential functions with or without accommodation. The company reserves the right to modify, delete or add to the essential functions for the Maintenance position at any time. + Provides routine inspections and monitoring of all production equipment + Maintains operating condition of machinery by trouble shooting, disassembling, repairing and reassembling. + Perform preventative maintenance of the machinery + Test, troubleshoot and replace electrical components of machine such as fuses, relays, switches, sensors, etc. + Performs mechanical set ups and applies principles of mechanics and machinery fundamentals + Safely operates a powered industrial truck and aerial manlift equipment + Able to use measuring tools and read blue prints and schematics + Ensures all equipment documentation is up to date and accurate + Performs data entry into Computer Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) + Prepares unscheduled work orders to support production requirements + Troubleshoots and repairs automation systems (PLC based) + Remains current in training expectations + Keeps work environment clean and safe + Performs millwright activities such as: cutting, grinding, welding, and other fabrication techniques + Able to follow direction for basic assembly and repair of equipment + Works with other maintenance mechanics on projects and rebuilds + Complete paperwork for check lists, work orders, and other documentation + At end of shift, secures all equipment, performs general housekeeping duties and completes and maintains work records on CMMS + Provides feedback to Maintenance Planner and/or Supervisors and Management on the effectiveness of Preventive Maintenance Work Orders to continually improve maintenance program + Proactively monitors line and initiates corrective actions that circumvent downtime + Able to identify parts for corrective maintenance activities and assist in quoting process + Demonstrates excellent communications skills; listens to other ideas and suggestions + Works with honesty and integrity; upholds organizational values + Demonstrates a positive attitude and strong work ethic + Follows all safety policies and practices; proactively identifies safety hazards + Follows all GMP and Food Safety Rules and Regulations + All other duties as assigned **EEO Statement:** Winland Foods seeks to recruit, develop, and retain the most talented people from a diverse candidate pool, and as a global company we believe our success is enhanced by fostering equity and inclusion in the workplace.
