Maintenance Mechanic

MOO's maintenance team is responsible for ensuring equipment is maintained and running well for production, so we can deliver premium print and hard good products to our customers on a timely basis.
We are seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated technician to maintain equipment, conduct PMs, and join our ever evolving maintenance team. This is a full time role on our second shift in our East Providence facility.
The ideal candidate will assist with installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment within the factory. This position will be responsible for preventative maintenance, as well as repairs, as required.ResponsibilitiesWork in a team and/or autonomously to complete work orders and provide maintenance support in a high-speed manufacturing environmentTroubleshoot, maintain, and repair equipment, disassembling and reassembling of machinery, overhaul gearboxes, and replace bearings, bushings, etcPerform mechanical work (e.g., conveyor bearing and chain replacement, major equipment overhaul, motor/gearbox replacements, valve and pump maintenance, and lube routes)Identify and source replacement parts as neededRepair and maintain machinery and equipment including: pumps, motors, filling and packaging equipment, conveyors, palletizers, piping, valves, tanks, agitators, drives, gearboxes, and utilitiesUse tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devicesPerform inspections and preventive maintenance to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory requirements as well as to ensure equipment reliability.Work with line operators to efficiently change over line equipment for different product and packaging sizes.Improve OEE (Overall Equipment Effectiveness) on the lines by Pareto analysis of OEE data and implementation of Lean Manufacturing tools to reduce downtimeComply with company safety rules and procedures. Complete daily and shift clean up tasksCommunicate results, concerns, and issues with supervisor and co-workers, ensure shift to shift hand-off is completeSupport and complete small capital projectsAbout You3+ years industrial or automotive mechanic experienceTwo-year technical degree preferred or equivalent "on the job training"3 years of experience in manufacturing maintenance required and possess good trouble shooting abilities as well as knowledge of processing operationNice to HavesHP L2 Press operator certificationAccurio Jet KM-1 Operator certificationWorking knowledge of Pneumatic SystemsWorking Knowledge of Hydraulic Systems
