Position Summary:
\r\nThis person will be responsible for providing mechanical support in response to operational changes resulting from the malfunction, breakdown, relocation, replacement or other modifications of existing mechanical systems and/or equipment
\r\nEssential Duties, Functions and responsibilities:
\r\nMaintain equipment using tools and equipment provided
\r\nFollows all work safety policies and guidelines
\r\nObserves equipment operation and be able to fix and troubleshoot any malfunctions and /or safety issues/concerns
\r\nPerforms PM’s on equipment on a weekly basis and completes work orders as assigned
\r\nAdheres to all USDA and GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) product standards and guidelines
\r\nMaintains a clean and organized area
\r\nPerforms other duties as assigned
\r\nAccountable to maintain punctual and regular attendance for scheduled work hours
\r\nMaintain acceptable times for repairs and adjustments to the lines
\r\nAssist Mechanic Operators on troublesome issues to alleviate downtime
\r\nUtilize LOTO as required when by passing guards or servicing a piece of equipment
\r\nSet up/tear down of assigned pieces of equipment on daily basis with minimal wait time
\r\nPerform emergency equipment repairs either alone or with assistance from other mechanics or team coordinators
\r\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:
\r\nAbility to work in a fast paced environment
\r\nAbility to communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions
\r\nFollow diagrams, operation manuals and manufacturing instructions
\r\nMust be able to troubleshoot malfunctions in timely manner and find resolution
\r\nMust be willing and able to perform physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation.
\r\nMust be at least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in the United States
\r\nMust pass a background check, drug screen
\r\nMust be able to read and write
\r\nNeed to be familiar in SPC, HACCP, GMP’S SSOP’S and USDA
\r\nComputer skills with Excel, PowerPoint and Word
\r\nProduct knowledge and process knowledge
\r\nAbility to trouble shoot problems with machines to prevent down time
\r\nPhysical Requirements:
\r\nConstant standing and walking (8 hours or more per day)
\r\nLifting, carrying, pushing or pulling (up to and including 50lbs or more)
\r\nReaching overhead
\r\nReaching below knees
\r\nAbility to multitask
\r\nCompleting required paperwork in timely manner
\r\nUsing material handling equipment as needed
\r\nWorking Conditions/Department Description:
\r\nWork in damp and cold environment as needed
\r\nWork with loud and noisy machinery as needed
\r\nWork in dusty environment when using spice as needed
\r\nWork with raw meat as needed
\r\nWork in congested areas as needed
\r\nWork in tight spaces in order to complete work
