Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preventative equipment maintenance, utilizing PM software program tracking equipment downtime, responding to work orders, and completing routine tasks.Operate and maintain facilities water room.Mechanical in-house repairs throughout facility and grounds.Performs work in various maintenance trades including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting. Routine equipment repair, building upgrades and installation of fixtures.Makes periodic or special inspections of premises to determine repair work necessary. May work from rough sketches and drawings.Works on assignments that are moderately complex where judgement is required in resolving problems and making routine recommendations. Normally receives general instruction on routine work, detailed instructions on new assignments.Chemical handling is also a must.Ability to perform outdoor duties in inclement weather if needed.Must be able to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.Education and Experience:Minimum four or more years’ relevant experience in the maintenance tradesFormal knowledge in a specialized fields including carpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting processes.High School Diploma or equivalent Must be able to use time and resources effectively and efficiently; have excellent interpersonal, organizational and communication skills.Basic computer skillsCarpentry, electrical, plumbing and painting processes.Water treatment experience a plusPerforms routine equipment repair, preventative maintenance, building upgrades and installation of fixtures.Housekeeping, trash handling, floor cleaning with machine, forklift operation.Must have a valid driver’s license.Safely operate various power tools and equipmentUse of small hand tools
