Job Description
Teledyne Relays (a business unit of Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC), employing about 260 associates, manufacturing EMR/Solid State Relays and Power Controllers, High Power COAX Switches and RF switching systems. The primary manufacturing facilities are located in the United States and Mexico.
Responsibilities:
•Support facility operations including but not limited to facilities maintenance, and support such systems as HVAC, Clean Rooms, Lighting, Compressed Air systems, Cryogenics, Construction, Plumbing, Renovation, Degreasers, and Preventive Maintenance Plans with Documentation.
•Maintain production support/supply of materials such as bottled gas, solvents, etc.
•Perform maintenance services (painting, patching, ceiling tile replacement, fluorescent lamp replacement, light electrical and light plumbing work).
•Assist Environmental, Health and Safety with safety improvements, Hazardous Materials/Waste services, and overall support for environmental compliance.
•Document that emergency equipment is operational and machine maintenance logs are completed.
•Be knowledgeable of inventory levels of spare parts and supplies, and notifies appropriate individuals to replenish stock when necessary.
•Follow Company policies and procedures for operational and safety compliance to support organizational goals and objectives.
•Adapt to the changing demands of the work environment, respond promptly to service calls while ethically and respectfully working with all types of employees.
•Use problem solving skills to identify and resolve any facility or EHS issue in a timely manner and communicate it to the team and/or supervisor in a tactful manner.
•Strive to continuously build knowledge and skills and share expertise with team.
•perform simple building maintenance including repairs to doors, windows, roofs and other building parts.
• Ability to implement straightforward troubleshooting on malfunctioning equipment such as pumps, motors, controls and other components.
• Willing to work overtime
Requirements:
•High School diploma or equivalent (GED), technical training or certification a plus.
•Must have great organizational and documentation skills; be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating/maintenance instructions, manufacturers' manuals, and blueprints.
•Highly dependable, with punctual and reliable attendance.
•3 year of previous work experience with facility systems and maintenance programs (with hazardous waste, environmental, health & safety regulation) and compliance.
•Must be able to communicate (verbal and written), and remain open to ideas or suggestions.
•Capability to work without close supervision and to meet goals as assigned.
•Able to use common hand and power tools, and material handling equipment such as dollies, hand trucks, and pallet jacks.
•Possession of basic technical skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing troubleshooting and repair.
•Must be able to add/subtract/multiply/divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals, plus have basic meter and instrument use.
•Knowledge of good safe and compliant work practices, and be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds.
•Candidate will frequently be required to use hands to finger to handle or feel; will regularly need to stand, walk, climb or balance, reach with hands or arms, talk or hear; will occasionally need to sit, stoop or kneel, crouch or crawl.
•Vision requirements consist of: clear peripheral vision, distance vision at least 20 feet out, able to identify and distinguish colors, ability to judge distances and spatial relationships (depth perception), and ability to adjust focus.
•Work environment: regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions and moving mechanical parts; will occasionally experience non-weather wet/humid conditions, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, be at risk of electrical shock or radiation due to job requirements; noise level is moderate (business office, computers/printer, light traffic).
•Candidate must be a Permanent Resident or U.S. Citizen.

Salary Range:
$35,090.00-$46,970.000Pay Transparency
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
