Job Description
• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines
• Repairs and maintains, in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manual, and manufacturer’s specifications, machinery and mechanical equipment
• Removes defective parts by dismantling devices: using hoists, cranes, fork lift, and hand and power tools
• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment such as lathe and mills, welder
• Install new equipment in the plant as necessary
• Perform basic electrical work such as reset drives, changing motors, LOTO machines, start up plant machineries and test their performance
• Follows all safety rules regarding machine operation and proper guarding
QualificationsRequires a minimum 5 years in industrial manufacturing; experience can be acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience A valid Valeron Strength Films Lift Truck license.
Job Requirements:
• Sufficient reading and writing ability to follow work order instructions and record daily logs and update necessary departments
• Ability to operate lift truck, boom lift and scissors lift
• Basic math skills to use micrometers, scales, levels, and tapes
• Basic computer skills to enter work orders on maintenance connection and communicate with team members & management
• Prior welding experience preferred
• Technical Competencies to operate hand, power, and pneumatic tools
• Must be able to work in a team environment
• Must be able to trace problems on machines using accepted maintenance procedures and techniques
• Must be able to anticipate, evaluate, and consider the consequences of various actions.
• Sufficient visual acuity to read instructions; digital screens operate machines, trace machinery problems by sight.
• Demonstrate good job attendance and punctuality
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings
• Prior industrial manufacturing experience required
