Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** You will be responsible for maintenance within a distribution center. As a Maintenance Mechanic II, you will perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery, as well as reactive maintenance. Your tasks will include both mechanical and electrical repairs on conveyors, wire contactors, motors, belts, rollers, drives, chains, pulleys, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and PLCs. You will also be expected to diagnose issues by checking inputs and outputs and looking at LEDs, with assistance from a control technician for heavy PLC items. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and machinery within the warehouse. + Conduct reactive maintenance and repairs on various mechanical and electrical components. + Repair and maintain conveyors, wire contactors, motors, belts, rollers, drives, chains, pulleys, hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and PLCs. + Diagnose issues by checking inputs and outputs and observing LED indicators. + Collaborate with control technicians for complex PLC-related tasks. + Troubleshoot motor starters and analog flag sensors. + Read and interpret blueprints. + Work with CMMS systems for work order management. + Utilize RS Logix 5000 for maintenance tasks. **Essential Skills** + 3+ years of experience in maintenance within a manufacturing, industrial, or distribution center setting. + Proficiency in electrical repair and troubleshooting. + Knowledge of PLCs, including input and output checks. + Ability to troubleshoot motor starters and analog flag sensors. + Competence in reading blueprints. + Experience with CMMS systems. + Mechanical repair skills. + Computer proficiency, particularly with RS Logix 5000 and maintenance systems. + Understanding of 480/24 Volt systems. + Team-oriented with strong attention to detail. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + High school diploma or GED. + Certification or associate degree from a technical school in maintenance or a related field is a plus. + Advanced PLC troubleshooting skills. + Leadership qualities. **Why Work Here?** Join a team that values your expertise and offers a supportive environment with opportunities for growth. The maintenance team is divided into three categories: Mechanic I, Mechanic II (the position being hired for), and Controls Technician. Shifts available include 2nd Shift (Sunday-Wednesday, 3:00 pm-1:00 am) with a $2 shift differential, and 1st Shift (Wednesday-Saturday, 5:30 am-3:30 pm). Training will typically occur on 1st Shift (Monday-Friday) for 2-5 weeks.
