Position: Maintenance Mechanic
Location: Huntley, IL
Shift: 1st - 7:00 am -3:00 pm- *Overtime may be required.
Wage: $26.90 to $33.94 per hour depending on Experience

While reporting to the Maintenance Manager as the Mechanic you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing plant equipment, buildings, and grounds.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Performs necessary repairs to all production and maintenance equipmentPicks up supplies as needed from local vendors using company vehicleProvides and ensures preventive maintenance on production equipment and necessary building equipmentMaintains and repairs basic electrical, construction, and plumbing needsPerforms routine maintenance on thermoforming machinesCompletes required job tickets in IQMS, which include: 1) opening PM work orders, 2) closing PM work orders with applicable project notes, 3) adding applicable hours and 4) adding maintenance spare parts usedMaintains a clean and safe organized work areaOther duties as assigned

Basic knowledge of and aptitude for mechanical principlesBasic knowledge of and aptitude for electrical principles including 480 voltageAbility to read mechanical and electrical drawingsGood working knowledge shop mathGood working knowledge of measuring instrumentsAbility to continuously lift, reach, stand, and walk throughout the dayGood written and verbal communication skillsGood manual dexterity and agilityGood computer skillsBasic welding skillsOther duties as assignedHigh school Diploma or equivalentTwo to Five Years Maintenance experienceTwo years Plastics and/or Thermoforming experience preferredCertifications preferred in machine repair, basic automated electronic systems, and chemical spillsForklift certificationLock Out / Tag Out certificationNFPA electrical training certificationWelding skills
