Job Summary

The Maintenance Mechanic supports operation, inspection, and maintenance processes to mechanical, electrical and plumbing equipment and systems in assigned facilities. Assists Engineers in maintenance and repair efforts, as well as independently performing defined tasks. Performs inspections and repairs to assigned property interior and exterior areas, including walls and flooring, installed fixtures, roofing systems, lighting, etc. Repairs, protects and beautifies various interior and exterior surfaces in client facility providing painting.

Job Responsibilities

Maintenance

Performance of ongoing preventive and repair response work orders on facility mechanical, electrical, plumbing and other installed systems, equipment, and other components.Perform assigned facility inspections and due diligence efforts, reporting on as found conditions impacting satisfactory client occupancy and operations.General interior maintenance – hang pictures, install keyboard trays, repair office furniture systems and repair doors.Assist the operations team in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment and/or as directedMoves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requestedReplace lighting and ballastsClean HVAC coils, change filters and belts.Completes other various duties related to Painting, Carpentry, Flooring, Cabinetry, and related tasks, under the direction of the supervisor and/or designee.Uses various wall covering techniques and remedies to complete project.Removes furniture, equipment, shelving, fixtures, etc. from work area. Installs and/or repairs drywall and plaster. Applies corner beads, tapes, patches, sands, strips, washes and primes surfaces, returns areas to working order when project is completed.Inspects various damaged surfaces (e.g., plaster, drywall, water-damaged areas, ceiling and wall cracks) for remodeling.Other tasks as assigned

Safety

Complete Hazard Assessments as necessaryComply with all safety procedures, maintaining good housekeeping and safety of work areas. Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them.Maintain compliance to State, County, or City Ordinances, Codes, or Laws.Must complete all required safety trainings as scheduledPractice Defensive Driving at all timesComplies with all policies for the safe storage, usage and disposal of hazardous materials. 

Driving

Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license (if mobile)

Administrative

Submit P-card Receipts DailyUpdate work order status in real timeUtilize CMMS systems such as 360 Facility for all work performed.Perform Vehicle Safety InspectionEscalating problems or issues to Customer and Manager in a timely mannerAttend work and safety meetings as required

Other

Any and all other duties and tasks assigned.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Education/training

High school diploma or  equivalent3rd Party Certification - Preferred

Years of relevant experience

Have a minimum of 1- 3 years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical.

Other abilities

Strong Customer Service skillsStrong Interpersonal skills (KS to add)

Certifications/Licenses

Licenses as required by authority having jurisdiction

Physical work requirements and work conditions

Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs and climb up to 30 ft ladders.Position requires frequent climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, and driving.Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s licenseMust pass background, drug/alcohol, and MVR screening process (if mobile).

Estimated total compensation for this position:

45,760.00 – 57,200.00 USD per year

The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
