Your Role:

At EMD Electronics in Savannah, GA, the Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for performing daily preventive, planned and emergency work in an efficient manner. All activities must be of high quality, driving towards state-of-the-art technology and maintaining infrastructure assets.

Responsibilities:

Maintenance Mechanic duties for the Savannah GA PlantMaintain high standards for housekeeping, safety, and environmental complianceSupport operational excellence though continuous improvementSupport site and department objectivesUtilize diagrams, sketches, OEM manuals, and engineering specifications to troubleshoot and repair malfunctionsAccount for all activities within area of responsibility including maintenance, quality, and HSSE (health, safety, security and environmental) activitiesSupport the management system by ensuring their area is complying with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Management of Change (MOC), Notification of Change (NOC), and other required activitiesInspect and test equipment to identify malfunctions or defectsPrepare and maintain records detailing test, repairs, and maintenanceMaintain work area in neat and orderly condition

 

This position will include on-call hours including weekends and holidays

 

Shift:  4 10-hour days 6:00am – 4:30pm alternating monthly between Monday thru Thursday and Tuesday thru Friday

 

Who You Are: 

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or GED 3+ years of experience as a maintenance mechanic in an industrial environment

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Technical certificationWelding experienceDetail oriented with excellent organizational, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate information at the appropriate level of the audienceStrong problem solving and computer skillsStrong desire to succeed and ability to execute on multiple tasks or projects
