Responsibilities You will serve as a MAINTENANCE MECHANIC in the SERVICE SHOP 900, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPT MGR 901, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPT 900; NORFOLK NSY PORTSMOUTH, VA. You will perform a variety of tasks involved in the servicing and upkeep of vessels, and maintenance of radiologically controlled buildings. You will remove and replace electrical fixtures and controls; make repairs; rearrange old or install new outlets, relays, switches, and light fixtures; test circuits; measure, cut, and bend wire and conduit. You will operate and maintain HVAC systems and ductwork/vent inside radiological controlled areas. You will plan and lay out the installation, modification, and repair of various new and existing piping systems and equipment. You will prepare, pack and transfer radiological material in accordance with Norfolk Naval Shipyard Nuclear Program.
