Hourly Pay Range: $20 - $35 dependent on experience.

Job Summary

The Fabricator is responsible for the maintenance and repair of industrial machinery, equipment, and mechanical systems. This role involves troubleshooting, diagnosing issues, and performing routine maintenance to ensure the smooth operation of mechanical systems. The Fabricator works with a variety of tools and equipment, including welding machines, cranes, and hand tools, and must adhere to strict safety protocols. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Performs regular, preventative maintenance on all machinery, equipment, tools, and buildingDiagnose mechanical issues, identify faulty components, and conduct repairs to restore machinery to optimal performanceAssists in the repair of woodworking machinery, infeed/outfeed systems, hand tools, and forklifts in accordance with diagrams, operating manuals, and manufacturer specificationsOrders supplies and parts as requiredPerforms preventive maintenance as scheduledMaintains records of repair and maintenance activitiesPerforms duties consistent with established safety rules and proceduresMaintains a clean and organized work areaParticipates in safety, CI, and other programs and meetingsIf assigned to Treating Department, performs duties consistent with hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practicesPrepares various reports as requiredPerforms other duties as required

Qualifications

High school diploma preferredMinimum 1 year of experience in machine repair in maintenanceWorking knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and control technology, and weldingWorking knowledge of safe equipment practices and applicable laws, rules, and regulationsDemonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practicesMust be at least 18 years of age
