Maintenance Mechanic/HVAC

The schedule for this position is Monday through Friday, with overtime opportunity. This position has an hourly range from $26.00 to 32.00 DOE.

The Maintenance Mechanic plans and performs work that requires thorough knowledge of mechanical and electrical or electronic principles, wiring specification codes, properties of various materials, principles of operation and the application of electrical or electronic equipment such as motors, switches, control boards, generators, circuit breakers, electronic inspection units, etc. Working knowledge or experience in install, maintenance, repair, and upgrade of HVAC equipment, machinery, and processes. Maintain accurate records involving installation, maintenance, repairs and upgrades. Assist Facility Team members with additional duties.

Troubleshoot & Perform repairs on bag machinery and support equipment as directed by maintenance supervisor.   Comply with all safe work procedures when performing tasks, such as but not limited to Lock Out / Tag Out, & Confined Space.   Repair machine defects found other than scheduled when discovered.   Report any machine defects identified during repairs that cannot be corrected to Maintenance Manager.   Maintain proper housekeeping on the job site.   Improve skill level either by training or on the job experience.   Be a team player, assisting fellow mechanics or other employees requiring help. Work required overtime to complete repairs of down equipment.   Strive to perform work in a timely manner, reducing machine down time to a minimum.   Maintain a “zero defect” attitude and perform repairs once.   Ask questions if not familiar with the repair or procedure. HVAC skills/trouble shooting, repairs, installation, inspections (chillers, AC units, gas packs, fans, etc.) Filter changes/vacuum pumps, outside air, oxidizer

High school diploma or G.E.D.

3 years’ Experience in Equipment Maintenance / Preventative Maintenance Procedures/HVAC Technical Degree or training in HVAC required. Technical understanding, zeal and ability to deal with uncertainty Understanding of Safety procedures Strong attention to detail. Critical thinking and decision-making ability Flexibility and adaptability and ability to focus and pay attention to detail Experience in Industrial Manufacturing a plus Willingness to continue training and education. \n
