Maintenance Mechanic I

As our global footprint continues to grow, we are looking for a Maintenance Mechanic with experience working with HVAC systems to join our team in Northbrook, IL.
The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, major repairs and operation of all building equipment; such as boilers, HVACs, compressors, and more with minimal supervision.
What a Maintenance Mechanic does at UL Solutions:
+ Performs electrical, welding, carpentry and masonry work associated with all building equipment, accessories and components.
+ This includes producing all support documentation such as calculations, materials lists and as built drawings.
+ Provides assistance in the various duties in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), mechanical, chemical and electrical disciplines.
+ Assists in problem solving and training of subordinates in the repair and installation of building equipment and components.
+ Performs other duties as directed.
+ Required: High school diploma or equivalent required.
+ Required: Certifications and/or licensing in HVAC systems.
+ Required: Ability to work Monday through Friday, on-site in Northbrook, IL, starting at 8am.
+ Highly preferred: On-the-job experience in commercial maintenance and repair.

+ Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career . The estimated salary range for this position is $50,900 to $$67,800 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
