The Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech I, is responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, and maintaining the plant injection molding machines and associated equipment for manufacturing. This position is also responsible for assisting with facility repairs as needed. This Maintenance Mechanic/Mold Tech I is expected to be pro-active and can perform their work at a high level with minimum supervision.

Responsibilities Responsible for following all Safety policies in compliance with Rain Bird Safety Standards and ProgramsPerform tasks to increase injection molding machine equipment uptime and reliability Perform periodic Preventative Maintenance tasks on facility equipment.Assist with the installation of new equipment in support of manufacturing operations.Communicate issues/improvements/ideas between department members and Supervision.Responsible for reviewing Corrective Work Orders via Maintain X software and update as required.Troubleshoot equipment/machinery to determine issue and repair in a safe/timely manner (Mechanical/Electrical) Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Follow Safety Policies and Lock Out/Tag Out procedures.High School Diploma or GED equivalent Perform Mechanical troubleshooting and repairs effectively. Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing industrial or injection molding maintenance Ability to perform electrical/mechanical troubleshooting and repairs. Knowledge and ability to understand Electrical Drawings/Schematics Excellent communication skills and ability to work well with others.Ability to complete tasks timely.Knowledge and experience with computers (Ability to research parts, maintain inventories, machines, etc.)Strong Work Ethic

 

 

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

5 years maintenance experience, preferably in a manufacturing plant2 Year technology or industrial related degree/certification In depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenanceWorking toward or have acquired a Certification/License in an Electrical Field Experienced in electrical troubleshooting and mechanical preventative maintenance
