The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, major repairs and operation of all building equipment; such as boilers, HVACs, compressors, and more with minimal supervision. At UL Solutions, a Maintenance Mechanic: + Performs minor repairs relating to mechanical equipment, furniture, shelving, plumbing systems, duct work, etc., as directed by immediate supervisor. + Assists in the inventory maintenance of parts and materials stock. + Assists in the training and inspection of the work of subordinates as directed by supervisor. + May perform electrical work, welding, carpentry and other trade work. + Performs other duties as directed. #LI-NN1 #LI-Onsite What makes you a great fit: + Required: Higher Secondary Education, plus 8 years of on-the-job commercial maintenance & repair experience. + Required: Experience in HVAC and mechanical maintenance (including troubleshooting of oilers and compressors), to ensure assets are kept in working order. + Required: Effective communication skills (verbal and written) to build professional relationships within the team and the organization. The estimated salary range for this position is $78,000 - $88,000 and based upon multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
