Maintenance Mechanic II
Job Description

PURPOSE AND SCOPE:
Performs general tasks, installations and minor repairs within the warehouse and office areas, as well as general equipment. Performs planned and unscheduled work. Makes periodic or special inspections of the premise to determine repair work necessary.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Under general supervision, follows established company policies and procedures and applies acquired job skills to perform general maintenance work, preventative maintenance work and all related documentation in compliance with current procedures.Prepares requisitions and maintains parts inventory and repair records for all equipment by completing accurate paperwork.Complies with and observes safety regulations relevant to the maintenance and repair of equipment and facility.Establishes or adjusts work procedures to meet production schedules while ensuring manufacturing equipment is operation properly.Proactively identifies measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and quality of product.Suggests and implements changes in working conditions and use of equipment to increase efficiency of operation, department, or work crew.Works within a safe working environment with proper safety gear.May provide assistance to junior staff with more general support tasks that require a better understanding of functions, as directed by immediate supervisor.May refer to senior staff for assistance with higher level problems that may arise.Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution, as deemed necessary.Review and comply with the Code of Business Conduct and all applicable company policies and procedures, local, state and federal laws and regulations.Assist with various projects as assigned by direct supervisor.Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION:

High School Diploma required

EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS:

1 – 2 years’ related experience.Reading and interpreting blueprints and schematics.Familiarity with calibrations preferred.Basic knowledge of electrical systems.Strong oral and written communication skills.Basic computer skills.
