Purpose Statement
Perform repairs and preventative maintenance in and around the plant and plant grounds. Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns. Learn and understand Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), follow the methodology and standard, demonstrate ability to navigate a PC to track and document work orders and parts inventory.
Our Gallatin, TN plant is looking for someone with prior manufacturing maintenance experience for this role. This is a first shift 7:00am to 4:30pm position.
Key Accountabilities and Outcomes Implement TPM Strategies: Learn and apply TPM methodologies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of our manufacturing operations. Maintain Equipment: Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment, and plant facilities to ensure optimal operation. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure the efficient operation of machinery and equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues and correct them. Ensure compliance with safety regulations. Achieve key performance indicators such as: Mean Time Between Repairs (MTBR): Strive for an MTBR of less than 30 minutes when parts are on hand. Preventive Maintenance (PM) Compliance: Achieve a PM compliance rate of 90% or higher with accuracy completeing work task and assignments. Inventory Accuracy: Maintain an inventory accuracy rate of 90% or higher. Work Order Management: Ensure proper usage of work orders and assign them as needed. Continuous Improvement: Continually improve maintenance processes and procedures in line with TPM principles.
ROUTINE RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure that the operations on the processing lines are running safely, smoothly, and properly expected mean time between repairs is less than 30 minutes. Responsible for the repair of building, equipment, and grounds, expected to complete 90% of defects and work orders assigned. Aid with refrigeration/freezer repair, general plant and office maintenance. Request parts and supplies when needed. Daily communication with Maintenance team and plant supervisors to ensure proper information and repairs are communicated, sending out daily communication email to operations and maintenance team. Work within our Food Safety, Sanitation, and Quality and HACCP plan policies of performing maintenance work on food equipment. Boiler maintenance and upkeep.. Be flexible and assist in other areas of the company when requested. Knowledge, Skills, and Experience High school diploma or GED; additional certification or degree in mechanical maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field is preferred. Technical Training: Candidates must have completed a vocational or technical training program in mechanical maintenance or a related field. This program should cover areas such as HVAC systems, electrical circuits, and industrial machinery Communication Skills: Proficient in both verbal and written communication. Industry Experience: Prior experience in manufacturing or food processing environments will be considered an asset. Teamwork: Exceptional ability to collaborate within a team setting as well as to perform independently. Autonomy: Self-motivated with the ability to work effectively without direct supervision. Mathematics: Basic mathematical skills are essential. Flexibility: Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends, as required by the job demands.

Seeking candidates who are system-driven Strong understanding of mechanical systems and components, demonstrating disciplined work within established processes for improved efficiency and consistency. Looking for individuals with strong computer literacy to effectively utilize digital tools and software programs (SAP, TPM), enhancing productivity and operational efficiency in the modern workplace. Proven experience in a maintenance technician role. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
