Maintenance Mechanic III

Under the general direction of the Facilities Manager, performs maintenance functions on electronic/pneumatic/thermal/optical components and interconnecting electronic systems. These systems include computer based.

The Opportunity

​The Facilities Mechanic III is an expert in the field of industrial maintenance and equipment repair. You will be a top technical resource to maintain and troubleshoot multiple material handling systems and building components and requires advanced understanding of troubleshooting and repair of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Also, there is an emphasis on the troubleshooting and fine-tuning of electrical systems and electronics including Programmable Logic Control (PLC), Variable Frequency Drives, and other controls to ensure the system is operating at peak production requirements.You will report to the Maintenance Area Manager and work a second shift schedule, either Sunday- Wednesday or Wednesday- Saturday.

Your Impact

Perform and facilitate general facility repairs such as plumbing, electrical, lighting, painting, HVAC, and wall repair.Perform planned and unplanned repairs, and preventative maintenance to production-related equipment, Powered Industrial Trucks, and building equipment.Support and perform planned and unplanned repairs and preventative maintenance to maintain the operation of conveyors and sorter equipment.Have a fundamental understanding of AC and DC systems and how to use a voltage meter. Can follow lock out/tag out policy.Services electronic systems at the module level including PLC's, Direct Digital Controller's and PC's used in monitoring and system controls.Familiar with the operation and usage of Refrigerant Recover/Recycle Equipment.Help implement continuous improvement processes including Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) activities.Understand and comply with all safety and environmental regulations & company procedures.Input and maintain records using CMMS systems to ensure accuracy of time, parts, and repairs.Implement mentoring responsibilities for orienting, training, & assigning work related tasks.Read and comprehend technical manuals. Familiarity with blueprints, and engineering specifications

What you Bring

High School graduate or equivalent; Industrial mechanic trade school courses or certification or equivalent military technical training.5 years experience with mechanical and electrical systems including conveyor/sortation systems or similar equipment.EPA Certified Type 1, II and III Refrigerant Usage.Two years leadership or mentoring experienceMust have a valid driver's licenseOversee the completion of multiple tasksPrefer knowledge of building codes, National Electrical Code, National Fire Protection Association, and OSHA regulationsWorking knowledge of voltage meter and AC/DC systemsCan repeatedly lift 50 pounds
