Summary:  The Maintenance Mechanic will operate, repair and maintain a variety of machinery and mechanical equipment including engines, motors, pneumatic and conveyor systems, gears, hydraulics and other machinery

Key Responsibilities:

Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance according to schedule and direction.Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and applying precision measuring and testing instruments.Lubricates and cleans parts, equipment and machinery.Uses hand and power tools in a safe manner.Learns and follows all safety procedures and Trident Protocols.Performs regular inspections of key components and operations, notifies supervisors of issues or deviation from procedures.Follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions.Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hand and power tools; examining parts for defects and root cause analysis.Troubleshoots, repairs and maintains rolling stock equipment.May supervise a small team or shift.Initiates purchase orders for parts and machinery as needed.Possesses specific industry skill sets at a technician level.Other dues as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities: 

Acquires knowledge of Trident’s Environmental and Safety Policies by completing required training programs and performing designated work activities in accordance with training and procedures/work instructions.Notifies designated personnel of any environmental or safety incidents or risks not previously documented, in accordance with Environmental Awareness and/or safety trainings.
