Maintenance Mechanic Level III

Position Summary:

Maintenance Mechanic reports to the Maintenance Manager and is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, providing emergency repair and preventive maintenance for the printing presses, molding machines and their support equipment. Also needs to assist in training on doing small repairs with print and mold operators as well and setup techs if need be.  On call 24/7 to assist with any issue that causes the press or molding machine to be down.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:

To keep all machines NSF and OSHA ready always.

To troubleshoot electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and provide their repair.

To perform preventive maintenance on printing presses and any support equipment.

To overhaul printing presses and any support equipment.

To attend all operator or maintenance training courses when needed.

To assure printing presses or molding machines are always running at optimum speed and in pristine condition .

To keep spares parts count accurate by filling out any and all paperwork that’s needed.

To clean up work area before leaving for the day.

To be available to support print or mold when needed.

To be team orientated working closely with Manager, Foreman, Supervisors, Setup Techs and Operators.

To Be on call 24/7 for print and work weekends when scheduled. \n Eligible to work in the United States. Successful completion of pre-employment background and drug screen. Work overtime as required. Ability perform the essential functions of the job with or without accommodation. High School Graduate or GED required Technical Degree preferred, but willing to count years of experience Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a maintenance/production environment Electrical training/experience with 480 3 phases/machine controls – preferred Experience with VFD Drives and PLCs a plus Background with manufacturing methods, process improvement programs and procedures required. Previous work experience in mechanical, electrical and/or experience in blown film industries strongly preferred. Experience operating forklift equipment Familiar with all OSHA and GMP standards & requirements Computer Skills \n
