MAINTENANCE MECHANIC – WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS: Responsible to complete the daily maintenance and operations of the 3 warehouse locations under the direction of the Warehouse Maintenance Manager and/or Supervisor.

The basic job description is as follows:
Ability to maintain and trouble shoot conveyor systems, which include sheaves, sprockets, pulleys, belts, AC/DC drives, gear reducers, PLC’s, 480vac motors, photo eyes and limit switches. Repair and maintain powered industrial trucks, both LP and electric. Electrical work: installing breakers, running circuits, ballasts, trouble shooting. Understanding High Voltage Power distribution and the ability to manage and work with these systems. Repair material handling equipment: skid jacks, carts, lifts, etc.. Plumbing in general, repairs and new installs. Coordinate with Boscov’s plumbing department as required. Maintain stock on parts inventory. Be able to operate forklift and Aerial Work Platform equipment Attend meetings and address issues with DC managers and stores as required. Maintain the buildings and grounds associated with the DC as assigned/needed. Maintain roofing systems working with Corporate Maintenance for capital projects and vendors for repairs. Repair pole and exterior lights at all 3 locations: DC,LP and Outlet at 40’ heights. Maintain all DC ,LP and Outlet HVAC units: compressors, fans, heat exchangers, belts, pulleys etc. Achieve understanding of the EMS system that controls the units, be able to work with the EMS Manager to troubleshoot and upgrade system as required. Maintain all required OSHA paper work. Work in compliance with all Federal/State and Local Codes and regulations. Work on hydraulic systems, pneumatic and fluid. Working from Heights ~50’ inside. Welding both Mig and stick. Other locations and duties as assigned. Hours of work – 7am to 4pm, Monday to Friday or other hours as assigned, Overtime and Weekend work as needed. This position will require person to be available to take call as required to be assigned by the Warehouse Maintenance Manager/Supervisor.Qualifications: A high school diploma and at least 5 years electrical back round. Familiarization with Conveyor Control System is a must. Trade school or education background in controls could substitute for experience. Must be willing to travel to locations as required to install/troubleshoot and repair as needed. Must possess valid driver’s license.
