Basic Job Functions: This Lead position will support the Maintenance Supervisor, Maintenance Team, and Production Team in a specific area of the mill. Expectations include: leading the area Maintenance Team in safe and timely responses to mill issues, ensuring NYS policies and procedures are followed, participating and leading in mechanical day support functions, assisting their supervisor in managing issues related to personnel, and coaching their teammates in personal technical development and continuous improvement. [[cust_safetyState]] Minimum Requirements: 5+ years of mechanical industrial experience. 3+ years of leadership experience. Bachelors Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Maintenance Systems and Techniques/Electrical Knowledge - Knowledge of servicing, repairing, adjusting, and testing machines, devices, moving parts, and equipment. Knowledge of electrical theory, including troubleshooting, installation, repair and/or maintenance of electronic equipment. Attention to Detail - Thorough in accomplishing tasks, no matter how small they may be, and taking care to make sure that expectations are met. Leadership Presence and Courage - Willingness and confidence to have immediate and direct conversations on critical alignment issues such as teamwork, building relationships, initiating and supporting change, and production process issues that arise. This includes the willingness to face adversity and conflict head on.
