Job Requirements: + Available to be on call in a rotation for weekends, 8 hour day with occasion for longer shifts to complete repairs + Meet physical requirements of the position + No fear of heights Responsibilities: + Performs maintenance and repair services in more than one craft such as electrical, carpentry, welding, plumbing, sheet metal, painting, and mill-wrighting at a relatively simple level. + supported by specialists or outside contractors as needed. + sound understanding of maintenance including building, equipment, and other facilities to be maintained. + Typically requires apprenticeship training in one craft, seasoned by practical experience, and some training in one or more additional craft areas appropriate to the particular environment. + Works from verbal, written instructions, blueprints, and sketches. + Troubleshoots and diagnoses equipment and systems for emergency repairs. + Applies skills, experience, and general knowledge to a wide range of tasks to adjust, repair, disassemble, replace, and reassemble equipment. + Performs preventive maintenance routines and inspections. + Utilizes hand tools and common shop machinery. Assists specialists in making more complex repairs. + maintenance support tasks to aid maintenance personnel covering mechanical, electrical, civil, and other trades.
