Maintenance Operations Manager
**Overview** Maintenance Operations Manager (EAGLE 2025-22692): Bowhead seeks a Maintenance Operations Manager to support its recently awarded Eagle contract in Aberdeen, MD.The Maintenance Operations Manager shall oversee a supplemental labor force providing support to Materiel Maintenance Division (MMD) operations with responsibility for all personnel providing services at the Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG) Army Installation. The Maintenance Operations Manager will analyze, develop, evaluate, and promote improvements in maintenance programs using best industry practices. The Maintenance Operations Manager is responsible for all maintenance and service operations under this effort and must have a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures pertaining to the installation’s maintenance, services, and equipment management processes. **Responsibilities** Essential functions will include: + Provides oversight and guidance for all MMD operations for approximately twenty (20) subordinate personnel, comprised of mechanics and shop/supply support staff. + Plans and directs personnel and required resources for day-to-day mission support, including repair of motorized equipment and small arms/weapons. + Directs the completion of operational tracking reports for the MMD. + Provides input to Project Manager on Contract Deliverable Requirements List (CDRL) reports covering the MMD to include developing and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs). + Provides oversight to the MMD that provides field and limited sustainment maintenance to installation tenants and organizations in the most cost-effective and efficient manner and verifies that all products and services meet or exceed Army standards of quality and excellence. + Supervises scheduled maintenance, monitors production, and ensures maintenance cycle times are achieved. + Ensures maintenance facilities are safe and all support equipment is serviceable. + Participates in meetings and activities established by the Government. Qualified candidates mustpossess: + Establish program objectives in individual’s specific arena and assess/report progress. + Gain cooperation to coordinate the work of others or as a team player in a cohesive team environment. + Adjust work to operational needs and to meet emergency or changing program and/or production requirements. + Analyze organizational and operational needs and develop or recommend timely and economical solutions. + Identify areas of needed emphasis to recommend improvements through analytical techniques and causative research skills. + Communicate effectively with all levels of employees, Government personnel, and outside contacts. + Possess strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work as part of a team. **Qualifications** + An Associate's degree is required at a minimum; however, a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. + at least ten (10+) years of documented supervisory experience and a comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, procedures, and instructions in maintenance management. + Must have prior experience with financial management and knowledge of Standard Army Management Information Systems (STAMIS) to include Logistics Modernization Program (LMP), Global Combat Support System-Army (GCSS-A), and Unit Status Report (USR). + Strong organizational skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships. + Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint. + Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts using excellent verbal and written communication skills. + Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team. Physical Demands: + Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds + Must be able to twist, bend, and squat periodically + Sit for long periods of time operating a computer keyboard. + Repeat the same movements. + Work in an automotive repair shop around moving objects, vehicles, machinery with moving parts, and confined spaces. + Exposure to excessive adverse noise, weather conditions, exhaust fumes, gasoline, diesel fuel, and other vehicle fluids/lubricants. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENTS:Must be able to obtain a security clearance at the Public Trust level. Due to the location of this work, U.S. citizenship is required.
