Job Description:

Air Products is seeking an experienced Maintenance Planner/Coordinator for its Up-River region. The basic function of this role is to minimize total cost by maximizing work force capabilities through prioritizing, planning, and scoping of maintenance work orders the following facilities: Baton Rouge SMR, Plaquemine off gas, Geismar 1 Syngas, Geismar 2 CO loading, Geismar 3 HYCO, and NOVA off gas facilities. This will include but not be limited to:

Principal Accountabilities:

Scope work orders to estimate cost, labor, materials, equipment, and special tool requirements to complete the job in a safe and cost-effective manner.Coordinate the review of work backlog with operations and maintenance personnel to ensure that all work is appropriately prioritized, planned, scheduled, and executed.Work closely with maintenance manager to level work force requirements across the Up-River Region.Responsible for the SAP backlogs.Provide detailed job plans as required for reoccurring maintenance activities.Provide planning support during turnarounds.Create and receive requisitions for parts and external maintenance services as required.Support the preparation of bid documents as necessary.Participate in all general maintenance leadership activities including share 24-hour on-call support with the maintenance manager.

Qualifications/Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent, with preferred relative technical school or college degree.  Experience will be given strong consideration in lieu of formal education.

Three (3) plus years’ experience in the petrochemical & manufacturing industry.Prior planning & estimating experience is a plus.Self-starter with a solid work history and excellent references along with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Strong organizational & people skills.Strong computer & problem-solving skills.Strong oral & written communication skills.General knowledge of maintenance work processes including mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.Have a passion for driving safety performance in all work activities involving contractors and/or Air Products’ personnel.Familiar with chemical and Petro Chemical equipment & specifications.General knowledge of maintenance planning tools.Knowledge of maintenance software- SAP a plus.Ability to multitask, self-motivated & willing to travel on occasion.

This is a safety sensitive position. Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the refinery and be able to physically perform all tasks in the field.
